Rosemont Theatre 5400 North River Road, Rosemont, IL, 60018

The Rosemont Theatre used to be called as Akoo Theatre at Rosemont. There were plans by Rosemont city mayor, Bradley Stephens, to sell Rosemont Theatre to Illinois State for the purpose of using it as a casino to get revenue. The talks about the sale were raised in September 2007, and also in 2008.

The naming rights of the theatre were sold to Akoo International, Inc. for .5 million in 2012. Akoo International is a company that makes interactive media for shopping centers and malls, as well as college dorms. In addition to naming rights, the company makes visual content for performers at the theatre. In January 2013, the company stopped doing business and the theatre took its former name.

In August 2010, the scorpions stopped by the theatre and performed the end of their Get Your Sting and Blackout World Tour. And the surprise was the appearance of former guitarist of the band and UFO, Michael Schenker. In 1999, the theatre witnessed the organization of annual College Championship of Jeopardy, the answer-and-question game show. In April 2006, the hall hosted the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony. And many other events have appeared in the theatre.
